Job Description 

We are seeking a Recruiter to help our company meet complex and emerging hiring needs in our U.S. and Europe regions. As a Talent Acquisition expert, you actively recruit qualified individuals for open positions, formulate and implement hiring processes, perform candidate screening, oversee interviews, and collaborate with the global HR team to formulate effective staffing strategies. Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, global environment, and is excited about strengthening and executing our Talent Acquisition strategy. The majority of the hiring needs will be in the U.S., with potential for hiring in other regions.  Key areas of hiring include: Instructional Design, University Partnerships, Project Managers and more.

About The Team 

This role will be based remotely on the East Coast of the U.S., reporting to our Sr. Recruiter, who is based on the East CoastThe remainder of the Human Resources team is based in Boston, Mumbai, Shanghai, and Mexico City. Emeritus is a global organization with 800+ team members, with 60+ based in the U.SOur HR team is incredibly passionate about the candidate and employee experience. 

Key Responsibilities 

Talent Acquisition (75%) 

  • Execute full life-cycle recruitment including creating search strategies, actively sourcing candidates, pre-screening, interviewing and presenting qualified candidates to hiring managers, and negotiating offers 
  • Ensure an excellent candidate experience throughout entire hiring process 
  • Work efficiently and with autonomy to fill open positions and build pipeline for future hiring needs 
  • Build relationships and partner with hiring managers & teams to provide consultation on all aspects of the hiring process, working across multiple departments 
  • Ability to successfully fill a wide variety of roles, both technical and non-technical 
  • Act as a business partner to all individuals involved in the hiring process 

 

Operations (15%) 

  • Support the Sr. Recruiter on all operational aspects of recruitment, including but not limited to: 
  • Sourcing and pipeline strategy 
  • Managing job descriptions 
  • Reporting on open and closed positions 
  • Assisting with interview scheduling across the region 
  • Developing and enhancing core recruitment processes 

 

Special Projects (10%)
Partner with the Sr. Recruiter on key Talent Acquisition initiatives, including: 

  • Applicant Tracking System Implementation 
  • Employee Referral Program 
  • Internal Mobility Program 
  • Careers Page Management 
  • External Branding (LinkedIn, Glassdoor, etc.) 
  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Initiatives 
  • University Partnerships for Hiring 
  • Internship Program Hiring 
  • Alumni Engagement 
  • Recruiting Events 
  • Social Media Engagement 

 

Job Requirements 

  • 4+ years as a recruiter with proven experience identifying and hiring talent in a variety of job functions and business areas 
  • High level of critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and strong written/verbal communication 
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills required 
  • Experience in a fast-moving, dynamic environment required 
  • Experience in Corporate hiring required 
  • Strong candidate sourcing skills, including but not limited to LinkedIn and social sourcing 
  • Ability to manage recruitment processes and stakeholder relationships with autonomy 
  • Experience in Education / EdTech preferred 
  • Recruiting agency experience preferred 
  • Experience working with global and geographically-dispersed, virtual teams a plus
